Gilligan's Island of the Florida Keys ...Money Key is a 0.68 acre dry island (~4 acres dry + wet) in the middle Florida Keys. It is located on the Atlantic Ocean side between Marathon and Big Pine Key (Parcel ID# 00106180) in unincorporated Monroe County. US Highway One passes the key at approx. Mile Marker 42 (the island lies about 800 feet south of the Seven Mile Bridge). This price of the island has been reduced from 1 mil. and current price is firm. The current use is for owners camping only according to the county although there is no policing of the island and folks camp there. Supplements: The price has been reduced since Irma and much of the vegetation is sparse at this time but some growing back. After Irma a fan of the island did a beautiful video. Today the island has mangroves growing back and has lots of sandy area. This video after Irma shows the damage but better is a great overview of the island.
